A#5: Lawyers can view, edit, and delete their posts through their account. They can also publish their posts instantly without having to first submit their post and then publish it through their e-mail. Lawyers need an account in order to search private posts, respond to public and private posts, submit a Legal-Ease Guide, and receive instant e-mail notifications of public and private posts.

A#6: Only Lawyers who have an account (which has been verified) can view private posts.

Q#9: What should I do when I receive a response from a Lawyer?
A#9: You should immediately make sure that the responding Lawyer has an office and contact information and is in good standing with the legal regulators. In Ontario, you should contact the Law Society of Upper Canada (www.lsuc.on.ca) to confirm this. Also, feel free to request expertise from lawyers when making a post and follow up with the Lawyer by asking about their experience and when they were called to the Bar.
Q#10: After a Lawyer has signed up for an account, what happens next?
A#10: We review the Lawyer's account and activate it upon verification. The lawyer will not see private posts, be able to respond to public or private posts, or receive e-mail notifications of posts until we have activated their account.
Q#11: What are the Free Legal Guides?
A#11: The Free Legal Guides are practical, easy-to-read and short guides about a legal topic. They are meant to be helpful guides, and do not constitute legal advice. If you think you need legal advice, you should always consult with a lawyer.
